Client relationship since 2000
We were appointed as Virgin Blue's agency in March 2000 and the first Virgin planes took to the sky in May of that same year. We started by choosing a name. In those hectic and exciting few months before the first flight we poured our creativity, dedication and enthusiasm into what began as an eleven million dollar investment in a start up airline with just two planes flying less than seven flights a day between Sydney and Brisbane.
Today they have a fleet of 55 with an additional 6 Boeing 777’s and 20 Embraer E-jets on order, and they have established Vaustralia – a new international airline to operate initially between Australia and the US.
On top of the airline operations we have been there for the launch of the Blue Holidays travel business, the Velocity loyalty program, the first Lounges at major airports, Australia’s first live in-flight television service and the first carbon offset program. Our relationship with Virgin Blue Airlines is cemented by a shared vision to build the brand around the ideals of the Virgin culture and great service and is a great example of the height both client and agency can soar with great determination and the ability to evolve with the changing needs of the industry.
Virgin Blue is an much larger, more complex and incredibly diverse organization than in those heady days of 2000. But the excitement of working on one of Australia’s most known and loved brands remains.
