Tourists take airports for granted. They are not a destination but a transport hub. The key is to ensure that a traveler’s experience of the destination starts the moment they touch down at the airport. That it reflects the tone, style and values of the destination.
Our opportunity with Sunshine Coast Airport is to bring together the airport’s role; in service, in business and in the community with the positive emotional experience of visiting the Sunshine Coast.
In August 2007, CumminsNitro undertook a comprehensive research analysis to understand the perceptions and positioning of the airport. With these learnings in mind, we redeveloped the brand to more closely align with the Sunshine Coast lifestyle and the convenience of flying direct.
The revised brand has rolled out to some initial communication pieces, including a new logo, stationery and other collateral.
Our overall objective is to increase the awareness and importance of the airport in terms of consumer’s perceptions with an above and below the line advertising campaign. This will start to filter through later this year.
